Attorney Visitation

Professional visits from any attorney of record shall be authorized Monday - Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., except during meals, lockdowns or when the security of the facility dictates otherwise (emergencies, etc.).
The jail requests that all attorneys planning to visit an inmate at NRVRJ, fax their intentions 24 hours in advance. FAX#: 540-643-2008. Due to the volume of visitation that regularly occurs, advance notice will aid staff in scheduling the day's events, will minimize any delay upon attorney arrival, and will give the staff an opportunity to notify the visiting attorney prior to his or her arrival if an inmate has been released.
If an attorney needs to visit during the weekend, an appointment will be necessary. This will help staff plan for the visit and minimize any delay getting the visit started.
