Attorney Visitation

Professional visits from any attorney of record shall be authorized Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. and completed by 3:00 p.m., except during meals, lockdowns or when the security of the facility dictates otherwise (emergencies, etc.).
The jail requests that all attorneys planning to visit an inmate at NRVRJ, fax their intentions 24 hours in advance. FAX#: 540-643-2010. Any paperwork that the inmate would need to have in advance of the visit, please fax with your visit request as well.
There will be no attorney visits on the weekends or holidays.
Clergy Visitation
All religious leaders must set up an account on-line at www.gettingout.com or call 866-516-0115 for assistance. Once the religious leader’s account is set up, the inmate will initiate the visit (no scheduling in advance is needed). Tablet visitation days and hours are Sunday-Saturday 0800-1100, 1200-1500 and 1800-2200.
Family and Friends Visitation
The New River Valley Regional Jail encourages inmates to maintain contact with their friends and family through tablet video visitation. In order to receive video visits, visitors must set up an account on-line at www.gettingout.com or call 866-516-0115 for assistance. Once the visitor’s account is set up, the inmate will initiate the visit (no scheduling in advance is needed).
